There are some people in this world who never want to ask for help. They would rather spend four hours struggling to do something by themselves than ask for assistance getting the job done in half the time. Whether it is pride, lack of confidence, a case of extreme shyness, or whatever, they simply choose to go it alone, even if it means failure.
The truth is, everyone needs someone at some point in their life, and there is no shame in asking a friend for help. Trying to move a refrigerator down a flight of stairs can be quite challenging for one person, but two can make the job so much easier and faster. Sometimes you might not want to ask for help because you don't want to be beholding to the other person helping. Perhaps they might have ulterior motives for wanting to help, or you know they will want you to do something for them in return.
Well, there is one friend that you can always count on for help, and He is your best friend, Jesus. He always has the best reasons for doing everything, and He always has pure motives with your best interest in mind. Instead of struggling through life's challenges alone, lean on Jesus for support. He will give you His strength, courage, wisdom, and when you are depending on God for directions, you can't go wrong. Stay close to Jesus through prayer and reading His Holy Word.
No matter where you are going, don't go alone. Take your best friend, Jesus, with you every step you take, and you will experience peace, joy, and happiness such as you have never known.
Text:
Proverbs 18:10 ESV
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.
Isaiah 41:3 NLT
He chases them away and goes on safely, though he is walking over unfamiliar ground.
2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT
Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
