Even in the midst of your deepest, darkest trial - there is reason to praise God. The Bible says in James 1:2, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds.” Now, you might read that verse and think, “God, you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about, you can’t be serious!” Of course, God doesn’t always “cause the problems,” sometimes trouble comes just because “life happens,” and we live in a sinful world. But the Bible continues on to say, “because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.” God allows trials in your life to perfect your character and prepare you for heaven, and it is how you respond to the difficult and painful times - that speak volumes about your character. When you respond to a trial with faith, leaning on Jesus, seeking wisdom and direction - your perseverance builds faith, and your actions become more “Christ-like.” So when you’re in the midst of your worst trial and life gets you down, instead of giving up and throwing in the towel -  open your Bible and claim this promise in 2 Corinthians 1:5, “Just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.”

2 Thessalonians 3:5 KJV - And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

Hebrews 12:1 KJV - Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

James 1:4 KJV - But let patience have [her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
