When life seems overwhelming and too much to bear, look up! Jesus is right there with you to give you the strength that you need to face whatever trial you are going through. There are no problems that God can’t handle, so trust Him to work things out according to His plan–not yours! Remember that God doesn’t always make our problems go away, but He is there to help us through.

Sometimes we want God to wave His magic wand and to make the mountain of bills piling up on your desk just go away. But don’t tell God what to do! He has a million ways to answer your prayers. It’s hard to hear God’s voice when you’ve already decided what you want Him to say.

The Bible is filled with great examples of how God answered prayers.

When the Israelites prayed for God to save them, He didn’t remove the Red Sea in front of them–He parted it.

He didn’t remove the lions from the den for Daniel–He shut their mouths.

Instead of sending five thousand hungry people home to eat, He fed them all from a little boy's lunch.

God may not answer your prayers the way you want Him to, but He always answers according to what’s best for you, and He will make a way for you to get through every trial. So when the world wants you to “give up,” don’t listen. Hang on to hope and keep trying and keep trusting! Remember that a winner is just a loser who “tried one more time”! And winners are not people who never fail, but people who never quit! Now that’s something to think about.

The next time Satan tells you to quit and throw in the towel . . . don’t give up–look up!

Text:

Isaiah 40:29-31 NLT

29 He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.
30 Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion.
31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

James 1:12 NLT

God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

Proverbs 16:7 NLT

When people’s lives please the Lord, even their enemies are at peace with them.

Hebrews 11:6 NLT

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
