When you are trying to make an important decision and you don't know which way to turn, drop to your knees and pray for God to lead in your life. And if you are sincerely wanting your prayer answered, you need to be willing to listen for God's direction and then go where He tells you to go. You can't expect God to guide your footsteps if you are unwilling to move your feet. In other words, you need to follow where God is leading. Too many times people pray and ask for God's direction, but what they really mean is for God to give them what they want. Standing still and hanging on to what you want to do, is not going to take you in the direction where God is leading. And never forget that God will never take you down the wrong path. You are always safe when following Jesus. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make your paths straight”. Pray, as David did in Psalm 143:10 “Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Let your good spirit lead me on level ground”. This journey on earth is a dangerous one, filled with the devils, evil distractions, and the only way to survive is by following where our Savior leads.

Psalm 25:5 KJV - Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou [art] the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Proverbs 16:9 KJV - A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

Psalm 32:8 KJV - I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
