Rain or Shine There’s no such thing as an “easy life.” No matter which country you live in, how rich or famous you are, or what advantages you have, there will always be hills and valleys throughout your journey here on earth. It’s important to understand that life isn’t meant to be easy–it’s meant to be “lived.” Some times are happy, some times are sad, and there are even times of complete despair–but with every joyful or sorrowful experience, there are lessons learned that make you stronger.

When the thunder strikes and the lightning flashes, rise above the storm and you’ll see the sunshine. It’s just like taking off in an airplane during a thunderstorm, but the minute the plane gains altitude and rises above the dark clouds, all of a sudden you can see the sunshine! So it is with life. No matter what dark valley you are in at the moment, remember that it’s temporary, so be patient and trust Jesus, for the light will come! Someone once said, “Sometimes it takes a thunderstorm to make us realize on our sunny days that we’ve been taking too many things in our life for granted. Life gets better when you become extremely grateful for what you already have.” Oh, how true that is.

The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:11-12, “Not that I am referring to being in need; for I have learned to be content with whatever I have. I know what it is to have little, and I know what it is to have plenty. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being well-fed and of going hungry, of having plenty and of being in need.” Trust God and hold on tight to His hand. He will lead and guide you on this journey of life for He alone knows where the potholes are that could cause you to stumble and He also knows what will make you ecstatically happy.

God loves you more than anyone else possibly could, so put your full faith and trust in Him. Regardless of rain or shine, He will safely guide you through all of life’s ups and downs and prepare you to spend eternity with Him.
